Whitewater Gardens Farm is a small, diversified farm on the edge of the Whitewater Wildlife Area in Southeast Minnesota. Our mission is to create a sustainable farm that not only grows healthy, nutritious food, but also enhances the environment and contributes to a strong local community. We encourage our customers to connect to the farm by coming for a farm tour or even help in the gardens. Our produce is grown using soil building and organic farming practices and are sold within 100 miles of the farm to retailers, restaurants, wholesalers, and Farmer markets. Our produce is also distributed to economically disadvantaged families through donations to local food shelves, resource centers, and shelters. We offer a wide range of vegetable varieties not found in the stores. We started a greenhouse project in 2010 using ground source heat pumps and will grow in the ground. We have started to cut back and no longer keep the greenhouse heated in the winter. We currently start and sell MN native plants to promote pollinator gardens and prairies along with the vegetables. Let us know if you are interested in a farm tour or looking for an internship. We grow food with your health in mind!
