Great Day Gardens is a market garden and wood-fired bakery located in Forest VA, just outside of Lynchburg. We raise about 2 acres of intensive vegetables and flowers. Our practices are beyond organic, with no synthetic sprays or fertilizers whatsoever. Our goal is to create living soil within a vibrant farm ecosystem. To achieve this, we use carbon-rich compost, homemade compost, reduced tillage, natural mulches, rain catchment, swales, and perennial hedges for animal habitat.
You can order our goods directly on our website and pick up at several weekly pickup locations, or find us at the Lynchburg Community Market (year round), the Forest Farmers Market (May-Oct), and Rivermont Farmers Market (May-Oct). We also offer a CSA from May to October.
