Eight Gates Farm is located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and run by farm owners and certified beekeepers Barbara McFadyen and Douglass Phillips. The 50-acre farm features Iron Feather Apiary - a honey bee farm that produces raw local NC honey from our native wildflowers, Blue Heron Barn - a beautiful southern barn venue for event reservations, and Iron Feather Studio - a metalsmithing studio run by metalsmith and enamel artist Barbara McFadyen. Eight Gates Farm produces NC wildflower honey, fresh flowers (featuring peonies, dahlias, and blue mistflower), free-range organic eggs, hay, and small-batch seasonal produce like persimmons, eggplant, bell pepper, tomatoes, and melons.

Hours are by appointment only - please call or message the farm prior to your visit!
