High Prairie Produce was established to provide Southwest Iowa with naturally grown fresh local produce.
Our garden is located on 2 acres of soil within the city limits of Red Oak, Iowa. We guide the evolution of our garden space with permaculture principles in-mind. We practice/promote organic methods of gardening, but we are not Certified Organic.
We currently produce just for the Red Oak Farmers market, but are looking to expand our sales to potential grocery stores, restaurants, and other markets into the future.
These are the crops we specialize in (but doesn't mean we don't grow other crops as well):
High Prairie Produce was established to provide Southwest Iowa with naturally grown fresh local produce. We believe by promoting the local foods movement in Southwest Iowa we can increase our community's fresh food security, promote healthier lifestyles, provide new educational opportunities for children and adults, and even enhance our region's agritourism and local economies.
