We are small local mom and pop farmers growing only tasty and healthy organic produce and plants. We strive to provide the freshest produce to you as possible in order to maximize the flavor and nutrition. We use strictly sustainable organic practices and never GMO's.

We acquired a 10 acre farm in Batavia Ohio in 2011 specifically to grow organic produce. Phyllis and our daughter have health issues including severe allergies which require them to know exactly what they are eating. Since it is hard to know what you get from a supermarket, we started to grow our own. Our home is too shady for gardening so we started looking for a small space where we could garden. Instead of acquiring a .5 to 1 acre lot, we ended up acquiring a much larger 10 acre farm. Since we have plenty of land, besides growing for our own needs, we are also selling selected items to others.

In 2015 we added a high tunnel which allowed us to extend our season into fall and winter with greens and cold weather crops and to get an earlier start in the spring.

John spent his first 10 years on a family farm in south eastern Ohio. He did not expect to have his own farm 50 years later. He enjoys being outdoors, seeing things grow, and being able to provide healthy food for his family and others. The sun gold cherry tomatoes are John's favorite snack when he is working in the garden.

We grow tomatoes, potatoes, green beans, squash, water melon, sweet corn, asparagus, arugula, lettuce, swiss chard, kale, and herbs. We sell organic plants for most of these vegetables and herbs. We also sell a variety of flower plants - pansies, impatiens, begonias, zinnias, and others. In the spring, we make delicious maple syrup from our abundant maple trees.

Gray Fox Farms is located at 3620 State Route 222 in Batavia, about 1 mile north of the entrance to the East Fork dam. Please stop in and say hello if you are in the area.
