Clear Creek Farm was named Santa Rosa County Innovative Farm of the year for 2014. We produces naturally grown fruits, vegetables, mints and herbs for sale to local restaurants. We provide heritage Alabama Shell apple trees for sale at the farm that are N. W. Florida ready. Grafting demonstrations are offered in February of each year.
We have a Certified Square Foot Garden instructor on site and offer Square Foot Garden training through hands on learning opportunities and teach you how to build your own Square Foot Garden. Farm tours are offered by appointment for individuals, groups and families. School field trips and home school group tours are offered at a discount. We were first stop on the Santa Rosa county 47th annual farm tour and received rave reviews from our 200 plus visitors.
We welcome visitors every October as part of the annual Beaches to Woodlands tour. Our methods are unique and we showcase our use of Solar Power to run the farm for zero net electrical cost and geothermal techniques to heat plants in Winter and cool them in summer to extend our growing season without using hydrocarbon based fuels. We work with local school groups interested in learning to grow their own food. Anyone interested in learning how to naturally grow fresh produce, not weeds cheaper with less water, fewer seeds, no tilling, no fertilizer in less time and in 20% of the space compared to traditional gardening methods should take advantage of our classes. Fees are charged for the tours, classes and demonstrations.
Square Foot Garden training events are scheduled on Saturdays. Reservations required see cleercreekfarm.net website for pricing and reservations.
