We are a diversified small family farm, raising both market crops and livestock. We combine our love and respect for traditional farming methods, for instance working with heritage breeds, heirloom plant varieties and "old-fashioned" draft animal power, while exploring new production methods such as hydroponics, aquaponics, and on-farm power generation and alternative fuels. We are always experimenting with how to combine these elements of old and new, to produce a well-rounded farm that meets our goal of promoting the three E's: Environmental Protection, Economic Sustainability and Ethical Business practices. We sell a variety of products at various times of year, including fresh produce at area farmers' markets, small quantities of livestock for breeding and performance, small scale forestry products, and some craft items. We hope to expand into meats for the 2012 production year. We are not yet certified organic but we are working towards that, with possible certification as early as 2012.
