Flatwater Farms is Certified Organic and much more! We grow more than 40 varieties of fruits, herbs, and vegetables. We sell on farm, at Green City Market in Chicago, and wholesale. We extend our growing season using geothermal energy and a wood-fired heat siphon to warm our green houses. We keep bees. We regenerate the land with native plantings and cover crops. We?ll soon be home to farm mammals and birds. Oh, and we also grow hops for River St. Joe, an on-site farmhouse brewery!
