The farmers share a passion for sustainability and reducing negative impacts on the earth and ecosystem. GSF was started with mindful stewardship of the land as its foundation, and fulfills this pledge through practices such as no-till growing, no synthetic chemicals, replenishing nutrients taken from the soil through composting, mulch and cover crops.
Pam and Sarah are committed to growing healthy, natural, delicious food and enjoying it with the people in the local community through events, workshops, and dinners. GSF can be found selling at the Haymarket Farmer's Market, as well as running a CSA with drop off sites in Haymarket, Leesburg, and Reston as well as pick up on the farm in Middleburg. GSF produce can also be found at some local restaurants and cafes.
Check out the Gathering Springs Farm website www.gatheringspringsfarm.com to keep updated about their current events schedule.
As well as a wonderful range of small fruits and vegetables, GSF wares include beautiful hand thrown ceramics, plants, eggs, honey, preserves and ferments.
