Green Gate Farm is a small family farm in Shepherdstown, WV. We market our products through our CSA, at the Charles Town Farmers' Markets, On-Farm sales, and Restaurant sales. In this 2016 season we will have memberships available for our CSA, as well as; Pork, Chicken, Lamb and Eggs
We are growing produce on 1-2 acres and raising livestock on approximately 10-12 acres using traditional farming practices mixed with contemporary organic methods. We grow all our produce using draft horse power. We love growing heirloom produce and raising heritage breed livestock. Our farm provides a weekly share of vegetables over the course of a season. By joining a CSA you are reconnecting with your food, the land, and the farmer. Having a share with us means you get to see and hear from the farmer who grows your food. We will send out a weekly newsletter, letting you know what is happening on the farm, what vegetables are in your share, what added value products are available, and a recipe to inspire you to get in the kitchen.
