Whistling Thistle Farmstead is a localized vegetable and herb farm located in the beautifully small community of Shell Rock, IA. Our mission is to simply bring food and food consciousness to our community. We believe in the practices and principles of organic farming methods and make sure to use them on our own farm (good stewards of the Earth). Come on out and visit us during our farm stand hours from late May through October. Our hours are: Fridays 4-7pm, and Saturdays 9-12pm. Please support your local farmers and local businesses!

We provide local restaurants, shops, and coffee shops with our products throughout the season. We offer a variety of seasonal produce including heirloom tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, culinary herbs, sweet bell peppers, hot peppers, lettuce, greens, edible flowers, radishes, salad turnips, beets, carrots, broccoli, cabbage, squash and much more. We also offer our own herbal tea blends.
