Garden Fresh Farms is the future of farming, year round growing indoors with consistent quality and quantity. Our produce is grown in the same neighborhood were it is consumed, making this truly local! Please see our website for more details. We developed special methods, lighting and equipment that allow us to grow all year long in a controlled warehouse. No droughts, pesticides or harsh chemicals. We use organic methods in growing, and we are an Aquaponic operation. Aquaponics is the method of growing hydroponically, where the fish provide the fertilizer instead of artificial fertilizers and chemicals. It is a special partnership between fish and plants that gives our produce its bountiful bouquet and taste. We naturally fortify our water with calcium and iron for improved nutrition. We have emerged from the research and development stage are growing produce picked everyday. All our produce is available to our CSA and RSA subscribers year round. Variety, not surprises each week helps our subscribers with menu planning with set weekly variety of products. We grow several varieties of leaf lettuce, herbs, sprouts as well as some seasonal berries and mint. We raise rainbow trout and tilapia and will harvest them on a regular basis. Garden Fresh Farms is involved in three areas. We are a family farm operation, a lab and research facility to advance the science and we manufacture the agriculture systems we have developed so that can help others open operations in other cities.
