Hidden Acres Farm in Newton NH is a small, family owned farm operated continually since 1939. It began as a dairy operation and converted to poultry a few years later. It continued as an egg farm into the 1970s.The next 15 years were quiet around the farm selling hay and managing the woodlot until 1998 when the next generation took an interest in converting the farm into mixed vegetables, began a fruit tree orchard and reintroduced the poultry operation. During the past 11 years, much labor and resources have been spent to rebuild the soil and to put the farm buildings into working order. The farm land was protected by allowing a Conservation Easement being put on the property as a participant in the LCHIP program in 2004. The farm buildings are protected through a historical easement. The long term goal is to delevop a sustainable living working farm museum that offers a true vision of what a small NH family farm used to look like.
