Thirsty Root Gardens

Mission at "The Root" Our Mission as a farm is to provide the local community high quality heirloom vegetables, produced responsibly with organic practices. We provide great food to our CSA members, heirloom starter plants to fellow growers, and weekly harvests to the public at Alton's Wed. market, St. Charles farmers market, and Lake St. Louis Farmers Market. Our CSA runs for 18 weeks, from May to September. Members are responsible for arriving at the drop-off site each week to pick up your share of freshly harvested produce. You will generally receive 10 lbs of vegetables, equivalent to one grocery bag of produce, with two to three bags during peak season. Visit our website to check out our member agreement.
