Kerley Homestead Farm was bought in 1979 by father who grew up in Italy on the family farm were he was taught to farm with out the use of chemicals by his father. In turn he taught me. The Kerley farm was established in 1843 and has been in some form of production off and on since then.
We grow a large variety of vegetables our specialty is Italian varieties. We feel strongly that the only way to grow good food is by building good soil by use of composted manure and cover crops along with crop rotation. We also raise lambs and goats for meat we raise our animals on organic pasture and organic hay we raise chickens for eggs our chickens are free range on pasture. All are animals are hormone and antibiotic free we raise them as naturally and humanly as we can. We are not certified. Visitors are all ways welcome at the farm to see what we do.
