Phil and Marjorie Forbes along with their 2 daughters own and operate Moorgate Farms just south of the beautiful town of Kalona, right in the heart of Amish country. Their certified organic 60 acre farm specializes in organic vegetables, 100% grassfed lamb, pastured poultry (currently just for eggs). They custom graze dairy replacement heifers for ocal organic dairymen in the area. They also have several bee hives from which they harvest honey for sale.
All farm tour requests are welcome from interested folks, but by appointment only.
