LANSING ROOTS, a program of the Greater Lansing Food Bank (GLFB), is designed to help beginning farmers from the Greater-Lansing area begin successful farming enterprises through an incubator farm setting. Our mission is to reduce barriers to farmers by providing land and infrastructure, farm resources, and a marketing collective that includes business planning and development and sales opportunities including a Multi-Grower CSA.
THE LANSING ROOTS CSA, or Community Supported Agriculture, is a direct vegetable subscription program that connects farmers and consumers just like you. Our CSA is unique because the produce is grown by over 20 beginning, historically under-served, and refugee farmers of the Lansing Roots program.
Three different produce subscriptions are offered to provide subscribers with a wide variety of options to meet their household needs. By participating, subscribers make direct and positive impacts on food security in our region by supporting the GLFB, its programs, and low-income individuals and families right here in the Lansing area; giving a hand-up not a hand-out.
