The Lansing Urban Farm Project (LUFP) is a Michigan non-profit that uses sustainable practices to produce fresh, affordable produce while building community within Lansing, Michigan. Its first project is Urbandale Farm on Lansing's Eastside where vegetable and flower production began in 2010 on a half-acre vacant lot in the heart of Lansing's 100-year flood plain and the Urbandale neighborhood. With the help of community volunteers the vacant lot was transformed into a thriving, productive farm. During the growing season, LUFP's produce is available at the Urbandale Farm Stand and the Allen Street Farmers Market. Door-to-door service in the Urbandale neighborhood is also available through our youth-operated Veggie Wagon. Check our website for updated information about when the markets will be open. Urbandale neighborhood residents and volunteers receive a discount on produce purchased at the Urbandale Farm Stand.
