The Salad Garden is a small certified organic farm located in Ashland, Missouri, 15 minutes south of Columbia. On our 1.5 acre plot(and growing), we grow a wide array of herbs, flowers, fruits and vegetables, including many open-pollinated and heirloom varieties. We also raise heritage breeds of chickens, egg-laying ducks, and pastured pigs.
The farm is run and managed by Dan Kuebler, Liberty Hunter, and Leslie Touzeau. We sell at the Saturday Columbia Farmer's Market all year round, to several restaurants in Columbia, and through our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). We are also looking for hard-working individuals interested in intensive market farming to join our farm in 2013 for an exciting work experience. For more information about the farm, CSA, or internship opportunities, please visit our website, facebook page, or email us through this page.
Our mission is to provide fresh, delicious, healthy, organically grown produce to members of the Mid-Missouri community while maintaining and improving the health and quality of the soils, the water, the air, and biological life.
