Farm stand and open gardens every Thursday in the 2011 growing seasons! Visit from 2:30 to 6 p.m. for seasonal flowers, fresh veggies and eggs, jam, jelly. Take a walk among the abundant gardens to make your visit complete.
The Hay House Farm is a multi-faceted operation, including the farm, art studio, stupa, and tours. Owner David Brown is a well known portrait and landscape painter and his studio is located on the farm. In addition, the farm is the site of a stupa, a Buddhist shrine of peace and good intention. The Hay House gets its name from the straw bale construction in both the house and barn. The farm is "off the grid" and operates according to ecologically sound principles. David Brown offers tours for individuals and groups by arrangement.
The staff is often in the fields and has limited access to computers. Please call 860-575-2387 when you want to learn about the art studio, stupa, portraits, weddings, tours, seasonal flowers, vegetables, and eggs.

To call this place unique is to be very understated. Full of surprises, very pretty, and next to some nice woods besides. Only about a mile from the center of Old Saybrook, a special place all by itself. Highly recommended.
