La Finca

La Finca is a diverse landscape of fields, forest, and wetlands where we grow fresh, certified organic produce, and raise chickens on pasture in portable hoophouses. In 2009 we are offering four seasonal farm shares: Summer Share, Fall Share, Winter Share, and Chicken Share. Delivery sites include: St. Anthony Park, Merriam Park, Macalester - Groveland/Highland, South Minneapolis, Plymouth, St. Louis Park, Hopkins, Cedar Lake Neighborhood of Minneapolis, Arden Hills, Lake Elmo, and Duluth. Members may also pick up their shares at the farm. Our Summer Share includes nearly 50 different certified organic vegetables, herbs, and fruit (including strawberries and blueberries.) Perennial favorites of our CSA members include: Salad mix, broccoli, heirloom tomatoes, potatoes, onions, broccoli, spinach, carrots, basil, berries. With delivery in October and November, our Fall Share contains the best of the late season crops with an emphasis on vegetables that can be stored throughout the early winter. The Winter Share (December and January) includes prepared foods such as soups and tomato sauces, as well as cut and washed frozen veggies ready for your favorite recipe! For those who enjoy chicken, our pasture-raised Chicken Share has been a hit with CSA members. We feel fortunate to live where we do and encourage La Finca members to participate in our spring planting day and/or our fall potluck. Come out and visit La FInca!
