The Farmers Market at the Depot in Inverness is located between two city parks, Liberty Park and Wallace Brooks Park and the Withlacoochee State Trail with the beautiful Lake Tsala Apopka chain of lakes as the backdrop. On any given day and especially on the weekend our area is always active with cyclist, walkers and joggers enjoying the state trail while park patrons enjoy the amenities of both lakefront parks. The Farmers Market is the epicenter of all the activity and is enjoyed in the covered pavilion where the market is held the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of every month from 9 am to 1 pm. and on the 4th Wednesday evening of each month from 4 - 7 pm. The market's focus is fresh produce, home made bakery and other specialty items and some artist creations.
Attend regularly, enjoy all the local crafts and vendors...DO NOT enjoy two different musical players, one with a loud speaker we could not get away from..... [more]
There was only one veggie seller and she only had one or two organic items. No organic dairy or meats. Very disappointed, I won't go back.
