Medicine Root Farmer's Market is just one of the components of our gardening program for families, We provide a 16 week gardening course and 7 week outdoor hands-on course for families. We teach seasonal entrepreneurship as a means of having a seasonal income. Our Farmer's Market is the first locally Lakota owned on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, the first to accept SNAP benefits at our market and next year we are hoping to venture into CSA's and the Sr. Farmer's Market Program.
