E.A.T. South is a community based non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in Montgomery, Alabama which is dedicated to promoting local, sustainable farming. E.A.T. South currently runs two small scale urban educational farms in Montgomery, AL. We sell our produce at the Curb Market and to local chefs. We also donate produce to local charities.
Come by one of our farm site to see whats growing. The E.A.T. South Downtown Farm is located in the heart of downtown Montgomery . This farm opened in April 2011. It features production beds, a caboose farm center, a working windmill, a greenhouse (which is used to grow starts for our farms, our local schools, our local community gardens, and our community), and our multi-station Discovery Garden.
E.A.T. South is excited about community involvement. Connecting people with their food systems and educating people about how food grows is very important to us. We give farm tours and host field trips at both farm sites as well as host annual events and dinners. Community members are also encouraged to volunteer at the farms. Volunteering is a great way to learn about farming and gardening through hands on experience.

I have gotten a CSA share from E.A.T. South for a year, and I love it! Not only is the all-natural produce fabulous, the folks running the CSA are friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to share recipes and cooking tips.
