Lyon Creek Farm is a family farm, located near New Smithville, PA that grows vegetables, pumpkins, winter squash, hay, corn, wheat, and soybeans. Richard and Thelma Seidel moved to the farm in 1965. There are currently four generations farming on the farm. Brother and sister, Brad and Kate, started farming in 1997 and became an official business in 2005. Along with their mom, Lisa they currently farm 10 acres, 6 in pumpkins, squash, and fall ornamentals and 4 in vegetables. A greenhouse was added in 2021 in which we grow our own vegetable plants and flowers. We also sell salsa, pasta sauce, pumpkin butter, and berry applesauce made from our own fruits and vegetables.

Our farmstand opens weekends in May to sell our vegetable and flower plants. We are open everyday starting June 1st. We sell our produce at the farmstand along with tree fruit such as peaches and plums purchased from a local orchard. On weekends, in October we offer a pick your own pumpkin patch, corn maze, and children's activities. The farmstand closes October 31st and re-opens the day after Thanksgiving to start our holiday season. Beautiful hand made wreaths are available for purchase along with cemetery log boxes and potted greens. We create our holiday items from local greens. The farmstand closes the Sunday before Christmas.

Lyon Creek Farm is also a part of the Lehigh County Open Gate Farm Tour which occurs each year in October and also a participant in the Farmer's Market Nutrition program. Our family looks forward to having you visit our farm and we appreciate your interest in locally grown food.
