Roadside Stand open at the Community High School Garden in Swannanoa, conveniently located off exit 59 from HWY 40 (235 Old US 70). Stand will be open Mon-Fri all day. We will be selling produce, eggs, grass-fed chicken, and gifts (such as local pottery). All produce/chicken is grown on-site by high school students who are learning to run their own garden. All monetary proceeds will go to benefit Asheville Green Opportunities and to sustain the Community High School Agriculture Program. We will be donating CSA boxes every week to twelve families in need in Swannanoa and providing veggies to the Welcome Table soup kitchen. Please come out and visit, volunteer, or pick up some tasty fruits/veggies/herbs/chicken and tell everyone you know about what we are doing!!!! PLEASE come volunteer and have all your garden questions answered! We are growing a myriad of food such as beans, squashes, tomatoes, bell/pimento/hot peppers, cantaloupe, sweet corn, okra, spinach, tomatillos, turnips, basil, beets, and much more!!!
