The Organic Farm School trains participants in organic crop production, small business management, and ecological land stewardship. Located on the 151-acre community-owned Greenbank Farm, we provide our community with top quality certified organic produce through our CSA program as well as through the Coupeville Farmers Market and local retail outlets.
With the guidance of experienced farmer/instructors Jessica Babcock and Sebastian Aguilar, 8-10 farm students grow 3 acres of vegetables for sale through a 50 member CSA. We realize and teach that to be successful in sustainable agriculture, we must work in harmony with the processes of nature and so in our certified organic fields we use compost, cover crops, and natural minerals to create optimum living conditions for our crops and soil biology. We encourage diversity and balance between species which leads to ecosystem health and reduced pest pressures. Our team of farmers-in-training is focused on coaxing healthy yields from the land in a way that leaves it healthier than before.
We look forward to having you join us in our CSA and help us further the sustainable agricultural movement by growing farmers, food, and community!
