Founded in 1978, we are a nationally recognized nonprofit educational organization that inspires and educates people to safeguard our natural resources while building an equitable and sustainable local food system. We offer classes and hands-on training in sustainable urban agriculture and environmental stewardship for all ages.
Our programs include organic farm and garden education kids and adults, environmental stewardship, cooking and nutrition education, job and business training for low-income communities, the Garden Hotline, community events and a robust volunteer program. Seattle Tilth manages five community learning gardens and three educational farms in the Puget Sound region.
