Petal to the Metal is a small farm owned by a natural food and civil liberties activist. Larisa Sparrowhawk, the owner, is President of Oregon Consumers and Farmers Association and owner of Localvore Fresh Oregon Foods. Petal to the Metal farm supplies delicious multi-hued eggs from free ranged pastured chickens year 'round. Muscovy duck eggs are available in the spring. In September and October, apples, pears and plums are available as well. Petal to the Metal offers pastured chevon (goat meat) in the fall. All sales are through Localvore Fresh Oregon Foods, which carries meats, value added items and produce from other farms as well.
