Pozo Organic Farm is located 30 minutes southeast of Santa Margarita near the 1800's town of Pozo--famous for it's old saloon. in 2008 we sold our original Clark Valley Organic Farm and moved to Pozo and built a totally off-the-grid farm run by solar power--house, wells, and farm shop.
Totally family owned and operated--Dana raises Heritage breed Chanticler chickens for eggs, meat and chicks developed in our Sustainable Poultry Network certified breeding program.
Eric grows fruit--apricots, apples, blackberries, peaches and nectarines; and vegetables--asparagus, beans, corn, cucumbers, eggplant, garlic, all kinds of greens (broccoli raab,chard,collards, dandelion, kale, melons, onions, potatoes, tomatoes, summer and winter squash and watermelons. This year we plan to grow sunflowers for oil and feed, with olives and walnuts to come in a few years.
We sell to small, local artisan restaurants, Natural Foods Coop and the SLO Grange Farmer's market. We plan to set up a weekly delivery service with web-based ordering thru Local Harvest. Soon we'll offer farm stays thru Air BNB.
