We sell:
USDA pork
Fresh frozen chickens, ducks and turkeys

Shitake and oyster mushrooms

Organic garlic (4 types of soft neck for eating and seeding)
We have a small production of pastured pigs, beef cows, chickens, ducks and turkeys. We never give our animals antibiotics, and any supplemental feed is non-GMO. In the spring, summer and fall we sell our own organically grown vegetables. We have started shiitake and oyster mushroom logs which should produce this next season. We are planting asparagus beds this year.
We give workshops on cooking and farm production as well as farm to table events. Give us a call to have your own farm to table experience.
This property has been farmed in an organic manner for over 40 years. We have been utilizing permaculture systems before the term even existed! Some the innovative things we have been doing lately are:
Planting large quantities of pollinator friendly flowers and plants
Free ranging our turkeys after six months
Rotational grazing for the cows and pigs
Cover crops in the winter
Feeding bamboo to our cows and pigs in the winter
Recycling food waste and weeds by feeding them to our pigs throughout the year
Working to control water flow on our property to the benefit of our livestock and to prevent flooding
We are dedicated to up-cycling and recycling in all ways possible. Many of our structures are build with recycled lumber and supplies. We pick up and recycle scrap, and spend some time each year picking up trash in Spring Valley Park. We routinely beautify our property with discarded plants from our landscaping jobs, wood chips from our local tree trimmers, and manure from the local farms.
