This market has a craft fair associated with it, as well as several cooked food vendors - the tamales are really good! The produce is ok for this area, but not like the Nor Cal farmers markets I'm used to, where produce is picked the day/evening before, is extremely fresh and flavorful, and the vendors are knowledgeable about the things they're selling. Interested in Santa Rosa plums or Arctic Rose nectarines? Here they'll be happy to tell you they have "red" plums and "white" nectarines and have no idea what variety they really are. A handful of vendors are very good though.

This farmers market is more for the urban dwellers that like to think they are getting the real country experience. One look at the prices at this place and you will know you are not at a real farmers market.

The prices here are obscene! After shopping the entire 200 feet of booths, I found only two things to be an "ok, if you have to."

One being the sausage guy (Chicken Jalapeno sausage), and the other being the Bread guy (another multi-grain organic). I am a sucker for fresh "custom" type beads. But please keep in mind, even the sausage and bread are too expensive, but outstanding in quality and taste.

Absolute STAY AWAY: The specialty potato guy and the honey (as in bee) lady. OH MY GOSH!!Throw them in jail or give them at least a ticket for attempted rip off!

You be the judge, know what you are paying for.

I try and go most Sundays to this farmers market. But it does live a bit to be desired. While the parking is ample, the actual vendor space is extremely small. The aisle is so narrow it makes it hard to get through with a stroller, and I have to bring my son with me. Also, I was a bit disappointed that not all of the vendors were Organic. I buy my fruits and veggies to make baby food and only use certified organic foods, all of the vendors don't use pesticides, but I feel more comfortable buying certified organic produce. I have also found that the prices are great, and all of the vendors are willing to help with everything from offering samples to picking out the best fruits.

It's at a time I can usually go. There is a wide variety of venders. I want to eat locally grown produce.

It has everything you need from organic produce to fresh eggs and dried fruit. The live music and friendly community fills your heart, and the fresh air fills your spirit. It is right by the water, so my boys and I love to walk by all the boats and snack on some of our purchases.

They have a great variety of fresh local fruits and vegetables. They offer really good pricing and I enjoy supporting local growers and community. Makes a fun Sunday morning outing, seeing old and new friends.

Everything about this market is wonderful. The ambience (next to Alamitos Bay), the fresh seafood, veggies, fruits, flowers, selection, varieties, etc. are all the best. Pete Siragusa, the seafood purveyor, is the absolute best.

If this is the one at marine stadium...it's the best for produce and eclectic vendors.

Convenient location form me. I ride my bike down to the Marina and pick as much as I can! I especially love the fresh tamales, avocados, and the big fruit selection!

They deliver the freshest food & are the friendliest of vendors! Music is playing from 1 end of the market to the other. The atmosphere is festive & inviting.... I love the Sunday market in Long Beach!!

It's the only way to buy your food; fresh, tasty and local! And it's just a fun atmosphere; you're out in the sun (hopefully!) and fresh air, not some fluorescent-lighted chain store. Beautiful location here, too.

Fresh, non packaged produce that you are able to taste before you buy.  Organiac growers with fresh herbs, produce and fruit...love it and the fresh flowers, too.  Bring your own bag and not waste...I would like to see not plastic bags...bring the ones you have...or just a shopping bag....friendly sellers and always the group of friendly buyers...love it... diana

This farmers market is my Sunday morning ritual. First of all the vendors are fantastic. We've got fresh organic produce, wild caught fish, home made tamales, breads, olives, flowers, dried fruits, and I could go on! I love the vibe. I also love that we're getting local foods. It is a great thing for our community and I think it makes the community stronger. I am so grateful to be blessed with such easy access to such a wonderful resource.

We love the produce and it's such a good environment. There is some music sometimes, not loud. Overall it's a pleasant healthy experience.

Good Quality produce, lots of choices. Prices a little high but no more than other farmers markets in the area. Parking is a bit tough, but hey--this is So CAl! As far as markets in the area this is one of the best.

This "farmers market?" is not a farmers market in a true sense. The prices at this market in general are WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. Although I wont use the name of specific vendors, three examples are the honey, bee pollen and wheatgrass. Per volume I have never seen prices so high, not even in New York City Farmers Markets.

Greetings, although I am not saying I am THE authority on Farmers Markets, I have shopped Farmers Market from coast to coast as well as England, France and Spain. The Farmers Market I have shopped for years is the Syracuse Regional FM in upstate New York. Recently I have been shopping the Long Beach Farmers Market on Saturday mornings (near PCH and 2nd St.)

The main reasons we go to Farmers Markets is for freshness and bargain prices (cut out the middle men and deal just with the grower.) You wont get that here.

While the freshness of most of the product is outstanding, the prices the majority of the vendors are asking are enough to give you a heart attack! More expensive than the grocery store.

This Market is very small thus, choices, extremely limited. You can walk from one side to the other and back, without stopping, in less than 10 minutes. By contrast, Syracuse Regional takes you roughly 1 1/2 (one and a half) hours to do the same.

This Farmers Market is more of a "trendy" thing, than anything else.

Pros: Nice people and vendors, freshness, water-front location. Cons: PRICES, overall size, small selection, parking, PRICES.

A note on PARKING. You are competing for a parking place at a marina (boat slips). These folks who have boats in the slips are probably paying big bucks to have their boats there. Enough said. Al

This market is on the edge of Long Beach and Seal Beach. It has many varieties of organic fruits and vegetables, as well as fish, Bison, hummus, bread, and flowers. I tried to go to this market each weekend until I moved away from Long Beach (Dec 07). I was satisfied each time I made a purchase.

I do not have much experience with farmer's markets, so I can not speak as to how good the prices are, but I do remember having a good feeling when I would go to the farmer's market and then see the prices at the grocery store.

The only drawback of this farmer's market (hence the 4 stars) is the parking. If you arrive in the early hours, it isn't hard to find parking. However, during the late morning it can get very crowded.
