I bought a butchered mulefoot pig from Mike & Valerie last month. It was butchered by Bennie the amish butcher and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it.

The chops are honestly the best I've ever had. Fatty, juicy. Exactly the way a pork chop would have been 200 years ago, which is the way they're supposed to be! Not the bland, dry meat that the giant commercial ag people sell us.

Mike & Valerie were also very accomodating of a few special requests. My wife wanted the back and leaf fat to make lard. We wound up getting the fat from multiple animals and it made a ton of BEAUTIFUL lard!

Secondly, we asked to keep the cheeks and they were able to provide those for us. Haven't tried them yet, but everything else is great so why wouldn't they be great too?

Finally. I'm from northeastern PA originally. And when they told me that I was within the window to have our meat processed by the amish butcher, I asked if he could make scrapple.

and he DID. It's impossible to get her and it's perfect! +++++

First time getting pork from Mike and Valerie Rock. Love at first bite!! Can't say enough about the pork, it has a sweet flavor and we are in love with the breakfast sausage and the smoked bacon. Highly recommended it to others we have had other fresh pork and it was not as full of flavor as the pork from the mule-footed pigs. My family and I love visiting the Rocks and checking out the little piggies. Thank you Mike and Valerie for the awesome pork. It was so worth the wait. Will be ordering another hog to be butchered in the fall as we do NOT want to run out of pork this winter!! Thanks Rock family!! The Doescher family

i had ordered two pigs and on the down side it took about 2 months for us to get the pork from the Amish butcher they recommended. i was a little put off by the wait but forgot everything once i tried the bacon! fatty rich delicious bacon! would buy from them again and i my do it again soon! (once i run out of bacon)
