Riverview Gardens

Riverview Gardens is a 72 acre non-profit urban farm, park space, and community center located near downtown Appleton. Our mission is To engage Fox Valley residents in community stewardship and collaborate with local outreach organizations in ending poverty, homelessness, and unemployment. We currently grow diversified vegetables and small fruits and are in the process of establishing our fruit and nut orchards. We grow without the use of any pesticides or herbicides and exclusively fertilize with organic worm castings and compost produced on site. All of our seeds are certified organic and non-gmo. Our park space is in transition to native prairie plantings to provide habitat and consistent food sources for beneficial insects and other wildlife. We design our gardens to conserve water and nutrients and to contribute to the health and well being of our land and community. We offer Community Supported Agriculture shares and WorkShare opportunities for the Appleton area. In 2013, we will pilot our neighborhood market initiative and double value program to bring high quality fresh produce to neighborhoods and people through out the city of Appleton.
