 Our Mission at Rustic Roots Homestead 

At Rustic Roots Homestead, our mission is to cultivate wholesome, handmade products that nourish both body and community.

From our sourdough breads and small-batch jellies to handcrafted wellness products and fresh, sustainably grown produce from our garden and orchard — everything we create is made with care.

We grow mostly heirloom varieties of plants, many of which are started right here on our homestead in our greenhouse. While we are not certified organic, we strive to grow as naturally and responsibly as possible by avoiding harsh chemical pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, and unnecessary additives whenever we can.

Through responsible stewardship of our land, thoughtful care of our pasture-raised animals, and a commitment to simple, honest ingredients, we strive to offer goods rooted in tradition, authenticity, and the deep values of family and faith.

We are also proud stewards of over 5 acres of remnant prairie — native ground that has never been plowed — preserving a small piece of Illinois’ natural heritage while supporting pollinators, wildlife, and healthy ecosystems.
