At Black Dirt Farm, we grow all of our produce using methods that build the soil, increase soil organic matter, and foster diverse soil life. We never use any synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. We have chosen not to pursue organic certification at this time, but believe strongly that the methods we use surpass the National Organic Standards in fostering healthy soil and a resilient environment.

We believe the farm should part of the natural environment not separate from it. We try to foster a diverse array of life on the farm by planting native plant corridors, and minimizing soil disruption. We are always looking for new ways to weave the farm into the local environment.

We grow a wide range of produce which varies throughout the season from crisp spicy radishes in the spring, rich and juicy heirloom tomatoes at the peak of summer, hearty root crops as the weather cools in the fall, and delicious salad greens all season long.
