An experimental farm in suburban Hilliard (Brown Township) about a Mile west on Roberts Road from the fire station. A 25 acre farm dedicated to traditional gardening. Be a part of this community based - grow your own vegetables, seasonal fruits and flowers club. Natural methods of growing will be adopted. We had a good harvest of vegetables that included beans, peppers, tomatoes and cucumber. We may need some soil mending for the egg plant and other vegetables. We will have to get a driveway, restrooms and parking spaces to the farm so that we can encourage visitors. We will keep you posted on the date this will be done.(will mostly be ready in Spring 2012). We are opening the 2012 season for membership. We will offer a maximum of 500 memberships and would also encourage people interested in helping with the farm provide a brief resume. As requested by some of the members we may be able to provide a 10 x 20 space incase you would like to grow your own vegetables, We will be able to provide water and other essentials. We will continue growing ethnic vegetables from the Indian subcontinent. Volunteers will get a share of the produce for free. Email, if you have any questions or would like to work on the farm. Our produce is not certified organic, we have no plan to go through the regulatory hassel that is required certification, but will grow our produce as naturally as possible using composte and other mechanical means of weed and insect control.
