Greens and Beans is a sustainable farm located in the Branchport area of Yates County, NY. During the summer, we participate in the Geneva and Canandaigua VA farmers markets, while in the spring and fall we operate our CSA.
Our focus is growing heirloom and open pollinated vegetable varieties, to preserve both taste and seed security. Some of the delicious and unusual items from our garden include a rainbow of tomatoes, beets, and carrots, speckled lettuce, and striped beans. Aside from a wide range of produce, we also offer eggs from our Animal Welfare Approved, pastured, no-soy/low-corn organic grain-fed laying hens and forest-grown oyster and shitake mushrooms.
We are committed to building our soil and maintaining diversity on our land. For fertility, we use compost and mulch to encourage soil biology. We plant herbs and flowers to draw and maintain beneficial insect populations, such as lady bugs and lacewings, and even various butterflies and hummingbirds. Water conservation is achieved with rain barrels and drip irrigation. Our garden is 100% free of chemicals and synthetic products.
If you like fresh, delicious, healthy produce, become a member of Greens and Beans CSA and join us in our seventh season!
