Protecting bees and native pollinators is so important. We always include pollinator rows through out our vegetable crop layout and try to work in harmony with nearby ecosystems. These nearby pollinators help keep our crops healthy and pest free as well as bountiful! We use very minimal tillage, only tilling a couple times per year when necessary, we make a big effort to not disturb the beneficial organisms that are in our soil. In the fall we also plant cover crops to bring nutrients back into our soil. We are not yet certified organic, mostly because we are on leased land and plan to expand in the coming year, but we follow all the guidelines as if we were certified.
