Farming 101

Farming 101, located in Newtown CT, is a certified organic family farm of specialty produce for our local community. We practice the art of low-impact sustainable farming with an emphasis on heirloom tomatoes.

In addition to our 40+ varieties of heirloom tomatoes, we offer fresh herbs, cut flowers and many vegetables including peas, cucumbers, beets, zucchini, and specialty greens throughout the year.

We are certified organic by Baystate Organic Certifiers, and certified as ServSafe Food Handlers having attended the Connecticut school of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) taught by the Connecticut Department of Agriculture.
