Located about twenty minutes from Columbia, Missouri and just under a hundred miles from St. Louis, Terra Bella Farm is 160 acres of mixed pasture, creek, and woods, with 12 acres of produce, herbs, and flowers. We strive to provide high quality food to fuel our local communities, our hard working apprentices, our extended families, and ourselves. We also operate the Missouri Grain Project, with soft wheat pastry berries and flour for bakers. Community outreach such as leading educational farm tours and hosting nonprofit groups for concerts and educational events is vital to our long-term farming goals and our commitment to being a socially-responsible business.
We are also home to the mid-Missouri Barn Quilt project and offer classes in the arts and writing.

Bitter cold
- ( Dec 22, 2008 )It was the 85th birthday of our eldest relative, my mom, last Saturday, so we drove for two days to get to the party. Carrying two legs of lamb and a bag of sweet potatoes, it was a big responsibility, although the bitter cold made us think twice--was it worth it?

As we begin our thirteenth year of production, we welcome inquiries for our apprenticeships. Apprentices will learn food production "from the roots up," including raising food, marketing to consumers and chefs, educating the public, and working with value-added products.
