Our farmer is John Krueger, the owner/operator of Circle Brook Farm. His passion for organic gardening has provided him with over 25 years experience, first as an avid gardener, and later as a co-founder and officer of the Cook Organic Gardening Club. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Cook College, Rutgers University in 1989.
In 1996 John was hired as Farm Manager of Heirloom Harvest Farm in Blairstown NJ. In 2002, the farms owner decided to discontinue operations in NJ. With a determination to continue a sustainably-based farming mission, John began working with Starbrite Farm in Hardwick Twp. NJ. He became the general manager of the farms operation and was one of the first farmers in NJ to offer CSA shares and sell organic produce at the popular Montclair and Morristown farmers markets.
Circle Brook Farm encompasses over 80 acres and includes additional farm structures. From 2010 to the present, he has annually served 500 CSA members through 8 pick-up sites. There are currently distribution sites throughout NJ and Staten Island.
In November of 2013, thanks to the generous support of many CSA members John turned his long time dream of OWNING his own farm into a reality. He is, today, the proud owner of the 80 acre property known as Circle Brook Farm. . John's vision is to oversee a diversified and integrated farm, with cutting edge organic techniques and materials available in the 21st century. John envisions creating a place for CSA members and market customers to visit a place to bring your children to learn about the sources of our food.

We are CSA organization serving the Morristown and Morris Plains area since 2009. CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture, where members pre-pay for a share in a local organic farm at the beginning of the season. Then during the harvest from June through November, the farmer delivers a weekly assortment of vegetables, herbs. For an additional fee, there is a seasonal share of eggs, and some fruit.

This is not a co-op, there are no wholesalers or distributors. 100% of your food dollars go to the person who is growing it. You support sustainable, local agriculture and get freshly picked organic produce at reasonable prices. In addition, you know the farmer growing your vegetables and can visit the farm and establishing a personal connection with your food supply.

Registration for the 2022 season is now open! Know your farmer, know your food.
