Bertrand Farm at Good Shepherd Montessori School

Family Farm
Bertrand Farm is an educational farm with two production locations. An urban farming site in downtown South Bend is the home of our working CSA and educational Farm Lab. Our mission is to connect people to their food as a means of promoting health and sustainable agriculture . We offer year round programming. Our CSA runs during the growing season and includes members(and families) in all stages of production, from ordering seed to harvesting and preserving. Non-working memberships are available but do not include the educational component. Contracts and details are available on our website. Other educational programming includes Summer Farm Camp for children ages 4-13yrs, beginner farming education, cooking and gardening classes and internships in restoration agriculture, permaculture and experiential teaching.
