College of DuPage Community Education Farm

Family Farm
We produce organic vegetables and fruit specifically to meet the needs of low-income families in DuPage County. Most of our produce is distributed to DuPage County residents primarily through the People's Resource Center. The Farm is run and managed by COD staff and students, and our food is grown by a combination of students and community volunteers of all ages. Our mission is to provide fresh organic food for those who need it, and to educate the community at large, through direct participation, about the importance of organic agriculture for community health, food security and good land stewardship. We hold a produce sale each Tuesday featuring fresh vegetables from the Community Education Farm. All produce is grown without pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. Proceeds help the program raise the necessary funds to fulfill its mission. Please visit our farm stand Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the COD Library entrance, located on the second floor of the Student Resource Center.
