Waterbear Organic Farm is one of the largest certified organic and biodynamic farms in Southwest Virginia. We find that these methods grow the most delicious and nutritious food you can find while building healthy soil. We grow over 30 different vegetables fruits and herbs which are marketed thru our CSA and local health food store such as Roanoke Natural Foods, The Harvest Moon, Eats, and Annie Kays. We pasture raise both beef and pork on the farm and have it USDA processed to sell to our community. Each year we accept 3-4 interns and have two manager positions available. Our interns stay on the farm and learn all about our growing methods. Waterbear Mountain Organic Farm is one of the largest certified organic , biodynamic farms in Southwest Virginia. We produce a variety of vegetables and fruits on seven acres of sustainably managed farmland. We are motivated by delicious, nutritious food, we feed our family and our community what we grow on our farm and share the abundance with neighboring cities. We hope to provide healthier, higher quality food, so that folks begin to see food as medicine, as somthing that truely heals.
