Tuesday's Growers Market at Purple Martin Nurseries

Farmers Market
The purpose of the Tuesday Growers Market is to help foster a thriving, inclusive sense of community in the wider Wakulla and Leon County area. It will champion local gardeners and farmers whose knowledge and presence has become all too rare. The market will encourage an attitude of land stewardship and provide a forum for neighborly communication to further strengthen the local character and a reassuring sense of familiarity. Through casual discussion or scheduled workshops and demonstrations, the market also hopes to provide educational opportunities that will inspire and empower community members to become healthier, more connected and involved citizens. Ultimately, the Tuesday Growers Market strives to be a dedicated vehicle for improved health, commerce, and local cooperation - one that supports and pools the wider resources of our shared community. This is an invitation to all (growers and buyers) to sample and help create what our own tangible, sustainable and dynamic community has to offer. Interested growers and market participants can contact Jennifer Taylor at 850 412 5260 of FAMU (email Jennifer.Taylor@famu.edu) or Gail Campbell at the nursery 850 926 8335
