Welcome to Winnowburrow Farm, where Healthy Food, Land Stewardship and Creativity COLLIDE!
At Winnowburrow we strive to exclusively grow heirloom produce in an effort to preserve what is left of our food biodiversity. Considering that 96% of total gobal food diversity has rapidly gone extinct, our commitment to increasingly rare foods - and selectively saving our own seed adapted to our farm's soil and local climate - is a unique niche in the local food system that actively protects food security. Our choice to exclusively cultivate heirlooms and save seeds sets us apart from our competitors. Additionally, the superior flavor, and exceptionally high nutritional content of the heirlooms we grow, make supporting our farm a no-brainer! We are not yet Certified Organic, but practice strict chemical-free and regenerative methods which restore the health of the local ecosystem and water supply. Additionally, we make a seasonal promise to all of our shareholders to plant pollinator habitats which benefit our endangered bees and butterflies!
Winnowburrow Farm offers a seasonal 18-week CSA Share which includes Heirloom Produce, Culinary Herbs, Flowers and Free-Range Eggs from our Heritage Breed Chickens. We are also in the early stages of seasonal Shiitake Mushroom production, Heirloom Garden Seed Sales, and raising Heritage Breed Turkeys for Thanksgiving. We are currently seeking direct and wholesale accounts for our beautiful, sustainably-grown produce, flowers and top-notch herbs.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions about the farm, or if you have an interest in direct sales, wholesale or our seasonal CSA. We welcome farm tours with a scheduled request.
Winnowburrow Farm is now accepting applications for our 2017 CSA, which includes Heirloom Produce, Kitchen Herbs, Flowers and Eggs from our Heritage Breed Chickens. Wholesale Accounts are welcomed for our sustainably-grown Heirloom Produce, Culinary Herbs and Flowers!
