The Souhegan Soccer Farm is a CSA or Community Supported Agriculture project started about eight years ago by soccer player and coach Ben Brewster. The Soccer Farm CSA features a mixed use of farming, soccer and family recreation. From the garden we offer farm fresh produce grown organically without the use of commercial fertilizer and pesticides.
Each year we have a bountiful supply of salad greens, strawberries, peas, onions, garlic, herbs, tomatos, radishes, parsnips, beans, potatoes, eggplant, squash, carrots, peppers, pumpkins, corn and cut flowers. Farm members may join regular staff semi-weekly for cultivating, planting, weeding, picking and distributing produce on pick-up days.
Located in the fertile flood plain of the Souhegan River, the Soccer farm offers year round family recreation opportunities including hiking, bird watching, dog walking and scent track training, as well as picnicing, kayaking, cross country skiing, kite and model airplane flying as the seasons and the weather permit. The soccer training schedule at the farm runs April - June and August - October, with special soccer training opportunites offered during the summer. Join us!
