We are a small family farm owned and operated by Ashley and Eric Yeager. In 2012 we had numerous family, friends and neighbors asking if they could have some vegetables from our family garden but it just wasn't big enough to support everyone. So in 2012 we all decided to increase our garden size to 1 full acre. We also introduced chickens to our farm as a means of mainly pest control and eventual egg production. Spring of 2013 came around and we had so much we decided to sell some to our friends and by word of mouth. We own 45 acres and in the past simply harvested hay, or let the acreage sit unattended. This spring of 2014, we will be expanding by another full acre and intend on doing so for the next several years to come. We will also be starting our new patch for watermelons, cantaloupe, and maybe pumpkins for people to enjoy around Halloween. Our long term goals are to have fresh berries, fruits, nuts and vegetables to supply to our amazing and close nit community. We are going to be growing everything completely organic! And with the help of our own in house compost we believe the fruits of our labor will be super sweet. We will not be using any chemical fertilizers or pesticides on our produce. I wouldn't want to eat anything that's been touched by chemicals myself! We plan on working with several organizations in the near future to assist them in helping families in need in the upcoming years. We are pleased to announce our partnership with an assistance program for our small town called It's From The Heart. They have given us permission to set up a farm stand on their property near US Highway 70 in Lone Grove. We have decided that a certain percentage of all sales made at this location will be put into a savings account so that It's From The Heart can use it to buy toys and clothing for children around Christmas time or school supplies for people in need. This is one of our main goals, but also not forgetting to help people secure a healthy and locally grown product. We hope to see you soon!
