The Farm of Minnesota

The story of The Farm started with my maternal grandfather, who began farming this land outside of Hutchinson, Minnesota in 1945, and spent the next 40 years of his life raising livestock and crops here. In the late 1960's, I was blessed to spend a summer here with my grandfather, working this soil. It is here that I fell in love with farming, and in 2000, I was again called home to The Farm. We spent the next few years in small-scale trails and tests. In 2009, we ramped into the market with the introduction of a new Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, and organic certification was filed in 2014. We take a lot of pride in the fruits and vegetables we grow. A specialty crop we are very excited about is our plantings of Elderberrys.. In addition to the CSA program, which provides a weekly share of produce to our members, we also offer our crops at our roadside stand and expanded local markets in and around the greater Twin Cities area. We have added season extension buildings and have many new things to come and see. Since we put this food on our table, you can have it on yours, 'cause.
